When the dish came out I was disappointed. That's not Turkish bread I said but then I tasted it. The bread was fresh and warm, the chicken flavourful, the portions generous. I'm not sure if it's Turkish since Lahmacun and pide are very different and yet sold as the same here, but it tastes good!

I went to Istanbul in Parramatta on Thursday night and it really made my evening. We had the charcoal plate and a gozleme, both tasty and well presented, but the pizza was the standout — full of flavour and cooked perfectly. The staff were polite, friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time. Great food, good service, and a place I’ll definitely return to.

Located in North Parramatta on Church St in the Estrada Shopping Centre. It is directly opposite McDonalds in a bunch of shops/fast food places. What Istanbul lack in size they definitely make up for in flavour! The menu is pretty extensive with burgers, pide, gozleme, pizzas and kebabs all readily available. So far, I’ve only had the gozleme, but it was delicious. Freshly made, tasty and piping hot. I really liked the look of the pizzas so might give them a go next time. Staff were nice and there were a few people there for a Saturday, I reckon it would be popular with the local workers during the week. If you’re looking for a quick tasty snack for lunch, skip the usual fast food places and give Istanbul a go, you won’t be disappointed.
